Our final camping trip of the season. We headed to Sanpete county and ended of staying where we didn't originally plan. But we found a nice spot by a beautiful lake. What a great view to wake up to each morning. This is definitely a destination to keep on as favorites.

Whitney Reservoir
We took our annual rotate the 72-hour kit food camping trip. We traveled to Whitney Reservoir. The reservoir was drying up a bit, so it was a bit of a disappointment that we weren't able to stay by a bigger body of water. Either way, the timing was right to catch lots of pretty colors on the trees. It was a beautiful drive all the way up. We also took a cross country hike to the top of a Moffit peak. This is a very big peak. We had to rock scramble up quite a bit of it. Going up isn't too bad, it's the coming down part that's not very pleasant. When we got to the top, we had our lunch. But it was pretty cold up there. So we made it a fast lunch and hurried back down.
Day at the Park
Daniel's Baptism
Isn't it great to eight? This is Daniel's baptism day. He is so excited! He has been looking forward to this day and talking about it non stop for about a year now. It finally came. The pictures below are Daniel with his family, his primary teachers, and his dad. After the baptism we went back to the house and spent time with family and friends with some great food and music. Well Done Daniel!
Brigham City Temple Open House
We were lucky to find some tickets to the temple open house as well as a day and time that we would be able to attend. The kids love taking the buses to the temple as well as I do. It's a little less crazy with the traffic with them doing it this way. What a beautiful place. I love the fact that my children have been able to walk inside three temples so far in their life. I look forward to seeing them walk through many more temples.
First Day of School
It's the first day of school. This is Daniel's second year with Endeavor Hall and Megan's first year. I love it! Megan was excited to walk into her classroom and find her desk and see all the things that she will get to use throughout the year.

Happy Birthday Daniel!
Daniel turned 8! It's hard to believe that! He had a blast and is excited to be able to get baptized and for being able to attend cub scouts. Daniel had a Lego themed party. This was also a year that he was able to have a friend party. At the friend party, they ate pizza and cake, built Legos, and watched a Lego movie.

San Diego
What a wonderful week we just had in San Diego. I don't think we could have asked for more perfect weather. If I recall correctly, the hottest it got was 78 or 79 degrees. How beautiful it is to be able to look at the windows and see the ocean waves crashing on the beach. We started our trip out at 4:30 in the morning. We picked up my parents and then began the journey. We arrived to the condo at about 4:00. Not too bad on the timing. Of course, the time change helped a bit. That night we took a walk on the beach.
Day 7- The long trip home. We had a wonderful time!
Day 2 Sunday-
We started the scenic drive. This is a 59 mile drive. We didn't make it too far, but the few things we saw were very nice. We drove along Harbor Island, Shelter Island, and Point Loma. We stopped at Shelter Island. There was a little playground that we let the kids get some wiggles out. This is baby's first time on a swing. After playing here, we jumped a bit ahead on our drive to Balboa Park where they have a free organ concert every Sunday. Here they have the largest outdoor pipe organ.
Day 3 - Monday - Air and Space Museum
Day 4 - Beach Day
Day 5- Sea World
Day 6 - Temple
Day 7 - Lego Land
The kids said this was their favorite thing for the week. It is amazing how many Legos are in this place.
Mini Land USA was definitely the best part of Lego Land.
Having a princess was a plus for Megan.
This is a Volvo full scale.
Day 7- The long trip home. We had a wonderful time!
